It’s taken us a while to get to Bordeaux. To be honest, we knew it was going to be a tough subject to cover because there is so much history and information out there. Some people spend their lives studying Bordeaux and never learn it all. We knew to give a proper overview of Bordeaux we would have to have two episodes. Of course in the future we’ll definitely dive into each of Bordeaux 54 appellations, but for now we start with basics.

Château Reynon Sauvignon Blanc Bordeaux 2013 – priced around $15. with a medium gold color, this wine has aromas of lilies and minerals. It’s dry with medium to high acidity and flavors of Grapefruit, melon, lime oil, and flowers. This wine has a floral finish with medium body and almost creamy texture. This is defintely a food wine and paired great with butternut squash empanadas with a green tomato salsa and lime crema.
