Wine Recommendations:

Anne de K Crémant d’Alsace Blanc de Blancs – priced around $20. This wine has clean aromas of lemon pith, mineral, and green apple. It’s dry with medium-high acidity, medium body and flavors of lemon oil, green apple, white flowers, and a hint of bread. The effervescence makes this wine pleasantly creamy, and we appreciated that it wasn’t very bready – it was more crisp and refreshing. Overall, we thought it was clean, crisp, fresh, and just slightly tart.

Pierre Sparr Crémant D’Alsace Brut Rose – priced around $21. This fruity wine has a salmon pink color with aromas of watermelon and red berries. It’s dry with high acidity and a medium-light body with flavors of red berries. This wine also had a creamy mouth-feel due to the effervescence and 12 months bottle aging on the lees. It’s a fruit-forward wine that reminded us of red berry tea but might be a touch too tart for most people to have without food.
